Welcome to LEGO Bots

This is an engaging and interactive program that combines the joy of LEGO building with the excitement of robotics. Utilising SPIKE Prime sets, the program offers children a hands-on approach to learn the fundamentals of engineering and robotics. 

GOALS: 

1. To develop fundamental skills in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics through hands-on LEGO robot building and coding.

2. To enhance problem-solving and critical thinking skills as children design and program their robots.
   

3. To foster creativity and innovation as children bring their unique ideas to life.

4. To understand the practical uses of scientific theories in real-world scenarios.

5. To enhance teamwork and communication skills, essential for successful collaborative projects.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

LEGO Wizards for at least 1 term OR very good coding skills acquired elsewhere.

There's no requirement for a diagnosis to be part of our LEGO  community. If your child has EHCP, we would like to have a look into it to ensure that we can support your child fully . Our key aim is to provide a supportive, engaging, and fun environment where every child can flourish, make friends, and learn valuable social skills - all while creating their very own LEGO masterpieces that move! You must commit to attend all 8 weeks.

13/09, 27/09, 11/10, 25/10, 08/11, 22/11, 06/12, 13/12

We are now taking booking for September.

VENUE: The Arc, 39 Weston Drive, Caterham

COST: Thanks to funding from Community Fund, we can offer this programme for FREE, with suggested donation of £6.50 per session -  £52 for 8 weeks to cover the cost of room hire and insurance.
